Roles in airsoft and what do I play?

In airsoft, there are different roles that players can take on during games. Here are some of the most common roles:

1. Rifleman:

This is the most common role in airsoft and involves being an infantry soldier equipped with an assault rifle (can also be a submachine gun or shotgun). A rifleman's objective is to advance the line of fire and fulfill the objectives of the game.

2. Support:

A support player is equipped with a light machine gun, and their main function is to provide suppressive fire to help their team advance. Support players often have high-capacity magazines and can fire in automatic mode.

3. Marksman:

A sharpshooter is like a sniper only instead of carrying a bolt-action rifle (you have to cock it every time you fire), they carry a semi-automatic rifle which allows them to shoot faster, but their range is reduced. Their role is to get behind the line of riflemen and help them by making selective kills while they keep the enemy out of range.

4. Sniper:

A sniper is a specialized player equipped with a long-range sniper rifle. Their function is to provide precision fire and eliminate key enemy players from a safe distance.

5. Medic:

A medic player is responsible for healing members of their team who have been eliminated on the battlefield. To do this, they carry bandages and other medical supplies, but the procedure may change depending on the game being played.

6. Team leader:

This is a player who assumes the role of leader of a team or squad. Their function is to provide tactical direction to their team and ensure they are working together to achieve the game objectives.

7. Radio operator:

You can take an additional radio to the team to communicate with the command (HQ), although there are times that they carry radios that allow them to vary from one channel to another. This information is provided to the team leader so that he can make the appropriate decisions.

8. Specialist:

Depending on the game there may be special roles with their own function that the game organizers will explain before starting. These can be: specialists in explosives, breachers, traitors (infiltrated spies), drivers...

These are just some roles, not all games are allowed or always have the same rules, so it is very important to always read all the information published by the organizer of a game and in case of doubt, contact him for clarification. before going to play.
